This upcoming weekend Pinta will take place in New York from the 14th to the 17th of November. The seventh edition of the Latin American art fair opens its doors to public after the exciting auction week in New York City, which has attracted important international collectors to the city this week. Pinta will present a mixture of Contemporary art display with a Modern art programme, not only from Latin America but from Spain and Portugal as well.
Throughout the years this small but unique art show has become an important venue for the promotion of Latin American art and cultural exchange with Spain and Portugal. Pinta takes place every year in both epicentres of the art market, New York and London. This art fair was firstly launched in New York 2007, and subsequently in London in 2010, in order to provide a platform for Latin American art in the US and Europe.
On this edition, besides the general galleries, Pinta will present four different programmes, bringing together approximately sixty galleries with high quality art pieces: Pinta Emerge that invites ten artist under 40 to display their art projects, on the other hand; Pinta Centro that is a regional project focused on Central America; Pinta Video that provides a selection of a new video art; And Pinta Next that hosts galleries under 5 year experience, selected by their programme, artists and career, and represent the next generation of young artists.
Therefore if you are around New York City this weekend do not miss the opportunity to visit such a fantastic art show!
